The Future of Take-Out was a unique collaboration with the New York State Department of Environment Conservation (DEC), challenging Pratt students to explore a range of solutions that focus on reducing waste, eliminating one-time use packages for fast food, plastic alternatives, marine-friendly packaging and methods and systems for packaging and transporting take-out food with the goal of eliminating the pollution of New York’s waterways and Harbor.

Pratt Department Chairs overseeing this project were Constantin Boym and Santiago Piedrafita; and the class was taught by Professors Karol Murlakand Eric O’Toole.
