The Times Square Alliance presented the second year of the Times Square Design Lab (TSqDL), a design initiative that brings new ideas for public space onto the Broadway Plazas.

The debut of the Rely bench is a result of the design of New Yorker Joe Doucet and Belgian partners in innovative 3D printing technology, Concrenetics.

Also presented is a restored original K67 Kiosk, a noted design from 1967 by Slovenian Saša Machtig, discovered in MoMA’s exhibition, Toward a Concrete Utopia; Architecture in Yugoslavia, 1948-1980.

TSqDL also featured Island Collection by Brad Ascalon and designs with Louis Lim and Makingworks, Vestre and more.

The Times Square Design Lab has been developed for the Alliance by 6¢ Design, a consultancy.
