Emily Anderson

Emily CM Anderson is a New York based Graphic Designer and Art Director. She studied at Minneapolis College of Art and Design and at the Academie voor beeldende kunst en vormgeving Arnhem in the Netherlands. Currently she is the Brand Art Director for Herman Miller— developing a range of branded content including short films, exhibitions, publications, and catalogs for the 113-year-old furniture company.

She has worked in magazine and book publishing design, working for Dwell, American Craft, The Fader, and on various independent book projects including a monograph on Mike Perry entitled Wondering Around Wandering, Works so Far... (Rizzoli), and FAILE Works On Wood (Gestalten), a book focused on the evolution of artists' FAILE use of wood. She developed a poster series for the Museum of Art and Design for their film program. She has also co-authored and designed 3D Typography with Jeanette Abbink as well as designed projects for the Yale School of Architecture, Museum of Modern Art, Rubin Museum of Art and the VPRO, which was awarded De Bestverzorgde Jaarverslagen 2004 (Best Annual Report 2004) by Grafische Cultuur, Rotterdam.

She currently resides in Brooklyn with her husband and adorable Boston Terrier, Meow.
