With an Executive Master of Business Administration, Jan Pachner joined the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS) in 2007 as Secretary General. He played a key role in leading the international expansion of YCCS into the western hemisphere with the opening of YCCS's second club in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Since 2018 he is Secretary General of One Ocean Foundation, founded by YYCS to promote the blue economy and raise awareness about the emergency of marine pollution.
