Winka Dubbeldam

Winka Dubbeldam is the Miller Professor and Chair of Architecture in the Stuart Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania, and has also taught at Columbia and Harvard, among other schools. Dubbeldam was the external examiner for the AA in London for 6 years, and was named one of the DesignIntelligence 30 Most Admired Educators 2015. Winka is also the founder/principal of the WBE firm Archi-Tectonics, and widely known for her award-winning work. Archi-Tectonics recently won an international competition to design the 2022 Grand Central Asian Games Park in Hangzhou, China, a multi-functional 47ha sports park. Publications include the three monographs Winka Dubbeldam, Architect (010 1996), AT-INdex (Princeton Press, 2006), and Archi-Tectonics (DAAB, 2010). A new book, Strange Objects, New Solids, and Massive Forms, is planned for release with Actar in Fall 2020.
